We welcome as members individuals and organisations who care for Hammersmith.
As a Member, you will receive several newsletters and email updates each year outlining our latest activities, giving you the opportunity to participate in our campaigns. Members are always encouraged to take an active part in the work done by the committee – come along and see if you can help.
The membership year runs from 1st January, and only costs £6 for individuals, £8 for families or couples and £15 for organisations. Please use the renewal form below to join or renew membership.

The Hammersmith Society’s annual Awards are keenly sought. If a new scheme – large or small - makes a positive and beneficial contribution to our townscape we invite our members to nominate it by the Spring deadline shown in our diary. It could be a new development, a refurbished older building for our conservation award, a much improved open space, the removal of an eyesore, an inviting shop-front – the choice is yours. Schemes must have been completed within the last two to three years, and must be visible from the public highway or accessible to the public.
The committee short-lists the nominations and visits them. The winners will receive a plaque and a certificate presented at the AGM, usually held in June.
The Hammersmith Society Environment Award - Our coveted Award to made to a development that we feel best meets our ideals.
Nancye Goulden Award - This Award is given for smaller schemes which have improved the local environment in some way - be it through a building or landscaping.
Conservation Award - for successful conservation projects in the borough.
Jane Mercer Award - for initiatives of benefit to Hammersmith which have involved proactive co-operation, collaboration and communication.
Special Award - for schemes, including publicly accessible interiors, which are not otherwise included in other award categories.
Wooden Spoons are given to eyesores or ones that just got it all wrong.
