As a Member, you will receive regular updates outlining our activities, giving you the opportunity to participate in consultations and campaigns. We'll invite you to our Awards Evening and AGM, and other events. Members are always encouraged to take an active part in the work done by the committee – come along and see if you can help.
The membership year runs from 1st Jan, and only costs £6 for individuals, £8 for couples or families, and £15 for organisations. Additional voluntary donations always welcome.

Details of this scheme for a panel to advise the Council on emerging plans for Hammersmith Town Centre (including the Flyunder) were posted in previous News Updates : The Council have now announced membership of the panel. Apparently they received a very large number of applications to choose from.
A initial meeting is due to be held with the next few weeks : Watch this space.
Talk about Fulham Palace by the Curator Miranda Poliakoff – Thursday 8th October at St Peter’s Church

This was announced by the Council on 23 June 2015 and is quite separate from the above. The intention is that the panel will assist the Council determine the future of Hammersmith Town Centre including options for tunnelling the A4. Refer to the council website here
The original deadline for registration of interest was extended to the end of July and an announcement on the operation of the panel has yet to be made.
Our President, Professor Hans Haenlein has been leading a group of residents and professionals to see whether the local community could benefit from the setting up of a Neighbourhood Planning Forum. This has been made possible by the Neighbourhood and Community Rights Process which stems from the 2011 Localism Act. An introductory workshop has been organised for Saturday 3 October 2015 at St Paul’s Primary School, Worlidge Street, W6. The session will start at 10am and finish at 1pm. There will be presentations by a number of guest speakers with experience and expertise in this.
Please come along. It is open to all and especially members of the Hammersmith Society and the Fulham Society.

Further to my News Update of 8 July, this rumbles on with many articles in the Press and arguments amongst potential candidates for the London Mayor next year.
The London Forum of Civic and Amenity Societies have commented extensively. Visit www.londonforum.org.uk
HACAN (Heathrow Association for the Control of Aircraft Noise) have also published extensively. They are organising a Central London Protest Rally on 10 October at 11am. Visit hacan.org.uk and www.no3rdrunway.co.uk. The latter has the official map showing potential flight paths. Our member Christina Smyth who also headed up the Council Commission on Heathrow, has been asked to join HACAN’s Management Committee, so we should be getting news updates from her.
At the recent Question Time event based upon the ‘Flyunder’, which formed part of this year’s London Festival of Architecture events arranged by West London Link and Hammersmith BID, Cllr Stephen Cowan announced the setting up of a Residents’ Panel to act as a consultative group for the various projects affecting Hammersmith Town Centre.
