We have reported on the progress on the new Hammersmith and Fulham Local Plan over the last two years.

The revised Plan incorporating several of our comments and recommendations will now be the subject of this Inquiry by a Government appointed inspector. He will be assessing the soundness of the plan and conformity to planning law including the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and the London Plan. The hearings will take place in the Council Chamber of Hammersmith Town Hall over a period of six days, commencing on Tuesday 13th June.

Members of your committee will be in attendance for some of the hearings to press our case for those matters which we have raised but have not been incorporated. Anyone may attend but not speak except by prior agreement. For more details visit the council site

Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for Hammersmith Town Centre

In addition to the main plan above which sets out the broad strategy, an SPD will be prepared in due course for the Town Centre. This will be based upon the Masterplan which is currently being prepared in consultation with the Residents’ Working Party.
