As a Member, you will receive regular updates outlining our activities, giving you the opportunity to participate in consultations and campaigns. We'll invite you to our Awards Evening and AGM, and other events. Members are always encouraged to take an active part in the work done by the committee – come along and see if you can help.

The membership year runs from 1st Jan, and only costs £6 for individuals, £8 for couples or families, and £15 for organisations. Additional voluntary donations always welcome.

This controversial topic produced the largest response that we have ever received. Of about 40 responses, only one was in favour!

CS9 proposed route

Your Committee had a follow up meeting with highway engineers from TfL and our Council. Hopefully we were able to help convince them why this scheme is so wrong for Hammersmith.

We were assured that it would not proceed without the support of Hammersmith and Fulham Council : The worry is that the Council, while also wanting to promote better cycling facilities in the Borough – will be lured by the prospect of TfL picking up the bill for the £20million plus cost of the scheme.

As we and most other people have said, we also want to see better facilities for cyclists but not at such a serious loss of facilities for other road users, buses and pedestrians. A scheme is needed but this is not the right one.

Although the official TfL consultation has finished, the Council are inviting further comments up until the end of December. Visit this H&F page and email your views
