The 58th AGM of the Hammersmith Society was held on Wednesday 29th September kindly hosted by our 2018 Award Winner – Queens Wharf / Riverside studios.
Our Guest Speaker was Sherry Dobbin, from FutureCity, who spoke about unlocking the potential of city places: catalysing the strengths of the existing cultural fabric, with some fascinating ideas for how this might work for Hammersmith Town Centre.
Sherry has an impressive record of introducing strategies to re-ignite urban centres, with recent projects including a place-making strategy for Wembley Park, clearing a path to introduce a major art installation at London Bridge Station – and curating a dedicated arts programme bringing new life to the Times Square district in New York City.
